Fourth Graders began this unit by studying value and the use
of value to create form. First they learned
about highlights, mid-tones, core shadows and cast shadows to create spheres.
Students then used tints and tones to create a value scale and ended the unit
creating a sports ball of their choice.
I was surprised and excited to see the student’s enthusiasm during this
unit.
